Afternoon Tea Success

26th June 2016

This year in place of the Family Fun Day the West Lancashire Mark Province held an Sunday afternoon tea event at Leyland Masonic Hall.
Keith and June relax for a moment
Well over one hundred attended the party which attracted many Mark Masons, friends and family in a very friendly and convivial atmosphere. After all the Mark Degree is known as the ‘friendly’ degree and the day proved that to be a fact.
Dougie entertains during the meal
The Provincial Grand Master, Keith Beardmore, rolled up his sleeves and was seen along with his Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Geoff Lee, who is the current Master of Adoniram Mark Lodge, which was supporting the event, serving wine to the guests and generally seeing that everything went smoothly. They were ably assisted by Michael Clarke, Assistant Provincial Grand Master and other helpers.
Austin Entertains
The food served was of the highest quality and the sandwiches, pies and a wide selection of cakes went down very well with everyone. Service by the staff of Leyland Masonic Hall was second to none.
Entertainment was provided by Dougie Little, who as usual, kept everyone happy with a  variety of music superbly played on the organ, until he handed over the role to Austin Fletcher, who continued to sing a range of popular songs for the rest of the afternoon.
To all those who took part or attended the event owe offer our grateful thanks and we hope to see you again in the not too distant future.
